POSITION OVERVIEW:
Behavioral Health Aide is a vital member of the Detox and Emergency Care component of the System of Care. The Aide is under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and is responsible for monitoring the safety and well-being of patients as they go through the detoxification process. The Aide assists patients in their adjustment to the detoxification program routine and provides clinical and nursing staff with information concerning the patient’s presentation and their medical and clinical counseling needs. The Aide assists in overseeing the medical and psychiatric management of the patient in coordination with the nursing staff, and as a member of the treatment team participates in and provides input to the Interdisciplinary Team meetings.
